Maybe this could be considered “stricter” … but I don't know.

Drunk driving charges should be immune to any deals for lesser sentences … and those sentences should be severe!

If the prosecution has a good case for DUI … it goes to a trial, no deals, no crap, no “first time offender” (yea, right) consideration, full pull, no holds barred PROSECUTION!

The penalties in most states are already pretty harsh, but sometimes influential defendants STILL get a deal! Prosecute to the full extent of the law, every time! On conviction … hit the offender with the maximum sentence allowed by law every time, no breaks, no way!

Once the “learning curve” takes hold … we might see a decrease in DUI arrests!

What is SR22 and how long  will it stay on my record?

Alcohol is a major factor in traffic accidents. Alcohol and Trauma is a major cause of mortality and morbidity in the United States and alcohol plays a big role in accidents and injuries. Alcohol Regulation Laws differ in their limits from one state to another.

Every day, 36 people in the United States die, and approximately 700 more are injured, in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. Males: Male drivers involved in fatal motor vehicle crashes are almost twice as likely as female drivers to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.

SR22 Insurance Requirements SR22 insurance requirements do vary by state but in most cases you’ll be required to carry the SR22 auto insurance for a minimum of 3 years after a DUI related offense. That means that for 3 years from the date your drivers license was re-instated you will be required to carry the mandatory SR22 car insurance policy.
